I'm guessing they hit 'record' during the time that the Super Bowl was on. Is it that hard to comprehend?

You, my friend, are no comedian :P

WHY WOULD ANYONE TAPE THE SUPERBOWL!? I think it's even worse than taping a regular old game as EVERYONE will be talking about it, etc. AND...if you're too busy and doing something else, can't you just say, yeah, I was doing something else and that would be the end of that???

I would tape the Super Bowl if I cared.

There's a difference in mentality here.

I can watch a show/film/game even if I know the end result. It isn't the ends that's important. It is the process of the game. That's the fun part to watch. To me, it truly isn't just about winning or losing, but it is actually playing the game that matter.

And, I've heard twice, just twice, that the Steelers won. I still don't even know who they beat, by how much, etc. etc. So, I could have totally taped the game if I cared to watch it, even if the ends were the most important part for me! I surround myself with sports-ignorant people, I suppose.

Oh, and another reason people tape is is to save the commercials. [shakes head]

I get taping it to SEE the game... but I think I know too many people that tape a game and then avoid / try to avoid everything and everyone to not hear the outcome. If you're doing that for the superbowl, that just seems silly to me.

Oh yeah... the commercials!

I think I stopped caring about TV all together so I tend to be of the mindset of "whatever you're doing IRL that makes you miss something is generally more important than what's on TV"

The ego likes to be disappointed. It is some sort of justification of some sort. It also likes to exert its will on others. Case in point: theXplodingboys vs. the exploding boys.
