Well guess what!?
There's new stuff there!
Like...a bookmark that you can make... and how to knit Coraline's blue star sweater (which I now wish I was a knitter because I would LOVE this sweater! It would rival my obnoxiously BRIGHT yellow sweater...)
So I made the only thing I could...

...and I'm not telling you where I found this wonder so that you can have the fun of looking around.
Pssst! Click the post title to link to the Coraline page....
I saw the preview to this movie the last time I went to see Twilight... it looks really good... but then again, it is made by the same folks who brought us The Nightmare Before Xmas which is a favorite of my son and I... we will be watching this movie once it comes out... fer sho'... I am just learning to sew and I had an old pair of Levi's full of holes, so I grabbed a bandana that I bought for a Halloween costume (I was supposed to be Slash but could not find a wig, so I was Slash without the hair... anyway, the bandana has a bunch of skulls all over it) - cut it up and sewed it at the different holes - came out looking pretty good, if I do say so myself... I am trying to make my own clothes and own designs... I am tired of paying money for shoes or t-shirts that a hundred other people have... I want originality... it's been a project that I've been trying to get started since last summer - the pants are a start so we'll see where it takes me...
ReplyDeleteYou should read the book! I love the book, but then again I'm a big Neil Gaiman fan.
ReplyDeleteMaking one's own clothes would be ideal. I wish I was a little more interested in that aspect of things... Generally, though, what's in my head has a hard time translating to real life, clothes wise.
